Pascal Smet Brussels minister for Mobility
Pascal Smet (1967) succeeded Brigitte Grouwels (who famously corrected EU IT-Commissioner Kroes on her extremely positive stance on Uber) as Brussels minister for Mobility with special responsibility for taxis. From 2004 to 2006 Smet was also Brussels minister for Mobility and reviewed and innovated the Brussels taxi policy. He was inspired by the AST system in Linz and created the Brussels shared-taxi system Collecto, which replaced several nightbuses. Smet is presently working on a review of the Brussels taxi system.
