– Eckart Diepenhorst has been appointed acting CEO of mytaxi
– Diepenhorst will be supported by Johannes Mewes (CPO), Andy Batty (acting COO), Thomas Zimmermann (CMO), Jan Sören Ramm (CTO) and Lena Dröge (People Director)
– Marc Berg is the new CEO of mytaxi’s Parent Company Intelligent Apps
mytaxi, Europe’s leading taxi app, earlier this week announced its new management structure which sees the separation of the senior management teams for mytaxi and the parent company Intelligent Apps with immediate effect. Marc Berg is the new CEO of Intelligent Apps Group and will be joined by Jonas Gumny (COO), Dr. Thomas Menzel (acting CFO) and Felix Brand (Corporate Development Director).
Eckart Diepenhorst takes over as the mytaxi acting CEO until further notice. Johannes Mewes (CPO), Jan Sören Ramm (CTO), Thomas Zimmermann (CMO), Andy Batty (acting COO) and Lena Dröge (People Director) will complete the senior management team of mytaxi.
The new management structure enables the team to solely focus on the development of mytaxi, with the goal to aggressively expand on its market position as the leading taxi app in Europe.
Eckart Diepenhorst comments, “This new structure perfectly matches our needs. mytaxi is the leading taxi app in Europe and our aim is to aggressively expand on this position. mytaxi launched in 2009 and was the first taxi app to establish a direct connection between drivers and passengers. As well as being the first taxi app to offer in-app payment, we were also the first to start a pooling service for taxis with mytaximatch. Innovation has been the major driver of our success in the past and this new structure enables us to focus on even more innovation in future.”
mytaxi and Intelligent Apps have grown rapidly in the last years. After the merger with Hailo in 2016, they acquired the ride-hailing services Clever Taxi and Beat last year. In 2017, more than 13 million passengers used their services worldwide.
