Integrity Vehicle Solutions President Mark James testifies before London Assembly Transport Committee
“Our vision and development of Ride Integrity was based on creating a tool for the ground transportation industry that facilitates greater functionality in managing the complex issues of regulation, compliance and planning, James told the committee. “It was designed with all transportation audiences in mind including regulators, fleet owners, drivers and passengers, with the hope that it would create efficiencies, standardization and transparency within the industry.”
James’ testimony to the committee focused on how Ride Integrity is currently being used by the San Francisco regulator as a compliance tool and to develop an overall view of all for-hire vehicles within their jurisdiction. He described how Ride Integrity provides regulators with capabilities to integrate third party technologies and smartphone apps into the regulatory framework and to digitally interface with fleets and vehicles to eliminate much of the antiquated flow of paperwork.
“Ride Integrity’s proprietary technology provides a flexible and complete tool for the industry to be able to function more cohesively in the regulated framework by providing real time data as well as historical snap shots of all of the for-hire vehicles in an area. It provides the opportunity to focus in on one particular vehicle. The system creates greater efficiency and a digital interface between regulators, fleets and drivers. They all exchange information on a regular basis as part of the regulatory process. Additionally, it gives greater transparency and resolution for passengers on issues of route selection, fare dispute and even lost and found. Ride Integrity is a win-win for the industry and its passengers and we already have had tremendous feed-back on the system.”
“There is a growing number of technology developers that are taking advantage of the opportunities to leverage the transportation industry and passenger demand, and we want the governing agencies and current fleet owners to know that there is a tool available to them as well to help both with the management of compliance but also fleet operations and integration with third party smartphone apps,” said James.
